Dachstein West is the largest ski area in Upper Austria and includes the Hornspitz with Brumsiland and Zwieselalm.

A great attraction for kids is the Trocktann toboggan run in Bad Goisern - right next to the 1992 World Cup track. It takes 22 minutes to get there - even under floodlights - whether on a sledge, bobsleigh or like Stefan Raab in a wok! After a 40-minute ascent of around 300 meters in altitude, you reach the toboggan huts, which are open daily in winter when the snow conditions are good.
